The Christian church has been integrating sport into ministry programs for over a hundred years. Some of today’s well known sports and sports clubs were started by the Church. However, many of the U.K.’s churches have no idea how they can engage in doing ministry with and to sports people. The Sports Program Teams will help Churches engage with people in sport by offering services, resources and training in a variety of sports programming areas.

The Games will raise the profile of sports in our community. The intent of the Sports Team is to introduce the local Church to new sports ministry programs that will make a long term impact in communities and draw new people to the Church. By providing sports expertise, materials and training, the job of the sports ministry group will be identify and lift up those in our local churches who have a desire to use sports as a tool for ministry in and through their local Church.

The Sports Outreach Resources Team will encourage, facilitate and coordinate the development of Christian sports related resources through a variety of resource agencies. Resources will include Sports Bibles and NT’s, Sports Gospels, Games Pocket Guides, Games Prayer Guides, Christian Sports Magazines etc.
