Sport Mission Training

A full day of training

A full day of training on Using Sport to Impact Children, Youth, Adults and Sports People is available in 16 towns and cities from February through to April.

Each takes place from 10.30 to 4.30 on Saturdays with registration costing £10.

This training in sports mission is one of the 13 choices at More Than Gold's Get Set training days to help churches be ready for the 2012 Game. For full details go to link.

What does the training cover?

The extensive contents include -

• Explore the ways to link ‘sport’ and ‘Jesus’ and identify what’s best for you
• How to use sport in schools including ‘The Games’, hold sports tournaments and coaching clinics
• How to maximise the impact of a sports quiz

This will be practical, so bring your trainers – and a big bag to take home lots of resources.

Training as a sports coach

There is also training through Ambassadors in Sport to develop people to become qualified sports coaches - primarily football but applicable to other sports. For details contact John Squires js@ais-uk.org
