Clinics and camps

An ideal way to reach out to children and young people is through their common love and passion for sport.

During the year leading up to the 2012 Games, More Than Gold offers churches a menu of sports camps and clinics. 

Residential sports camps
These camps, from a weekend to a week,
are for the serious sporty young person.

Those who attend enjoy –

Non residential sports clinics
These clinics range from a morning to a full day. And are for the enthusiast rather than the specialist.

Sports clinics at past Olympics

Atlanta 1996 Olympic and Paralympic Games, over 45 sports clinics for disadvantaged youth were run. These involved over 2,000 young people.

It was the same at the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games where 110 sports clinics for disadvantaged young people were staged by 85 churches. These held an attendance of aver 2,500 young people.
