Sports mission

Reaching out to those interested in sports
Every church is set within a community where people are active and interested in sport. More Than Gold can help churches make the link in the context of the 2012 Games by –  

• Suggesting practical and imaginative approaches
• Providing ,or pointing to, appropriate resources
• Offering churches the help of an international mission team with a sports emphasis during the Games - for more click here

We are presently working on these ideas and resources. When available they will help churches use sports outreach to work with men, women, children, young people and families.

A wide range of approaches
In preparation are ideas and resources for churches to –

• Run sports camps and clinics
• Run kids holiday clubs with a sports/Olympic theme
• Link with schools by using curriculum material that links to out of school-church based projects
• Hold a multi-media quiz night

We will also be offering training for those passionate about combining their faith and their sport.
