Hospitality centres
Hospitality Centres are one of the main ways Christians will impact visitors to the Games.
These More Than Gold centres will be where people gather or attend events. This means pedestrian walkways, transport hubs, at park-and-ride areas and at venues near the Games sites and Torch Relay route.
They will give visitors somewhere to receive–
- Rest for weary feet and limbs - but not overnight accommodation
- Free internet access
- Free tea or coffee
- Free water as part of the Million Cups of Water programme
- Information on the Games, travel and more
- Information about local attractions
- Help in practical ways including prayer and advice
Churches in the area may well turn their own premises into a hospitality centre or they may rent or borrow other facilities to meet the needs of visitors.
